MiA is a volunteer-based NGO, translating Mindfulness into Arabic; Offering trauma-sensitive and culturally adapted Mindfulness courses online, free of charge, to the Arabic-speaking refugee community.
We believe mindfulness has the power to ease the hardship of forced migration, uncertainty, daily stressors of displacement, resettlement and the being in transition.
Additionally, we are developing courses for professionals: teaching Trauma- Sensitive Mindfulness and Mindfulness-based Trauma and Resiliency skills to the Aid workers, NGO consultants, and Mindfulness teachers.
We at Mindfulness in Arabic (MiA) would like to invite you to our full-day Trauma Sensitive Mindfulness workshop . The workshop is per donation. It is one way we fund our projects. All proceeds go to the development, publication and maintenance of MiA’s free 8 week and online courses.
The purpose of this full-day workshop is to encourage and aid Humanitarian workers, Therapists, Wellness Coaches and/or Educators to get acquainted and use trauma sensitive-mindfulness, and trauma informed material in their groups, communities/clinic work.
